Use a sample to answer a defined acceptance question
A sample should represent the product and host configuration you plan to approve. Ordering a sample without a test objective can create an attractive demonstration that does not answer the deployment question.
Define the representative setup
Choose the host, firmware, peer optic, cabling and port mode expected in deployment. Record differences between the lab and production route.
Agree pass criteria
Identify required link stability, counters, diagnostics, temperature conditions and observation duration. The appropriate thresholds come from the platform and project requirements.
Retain the result
Keep serial numbers, test settings, measured outcomes and exceptions with the sample decision. Revisit approval when the product or host configuration changes.
Your next step
Sample availability, pricing and delivery are confirmed through quotation. A successful single sample is evidence for the tested setup, not an unconditional guarantee for every batch or host.
