The QSFP-100G-SWDM4 optical module features a multi-mode duplex LC interface, supports SR4 encoding format, and complies with IEEE 802.3bm standards. With only 2-core fiber optic cables, it can be used with traditional OM3 and OM4 infrastructure. When used with OM3 fiber optic jumpers, it can transmit up to 70 meters; when used with OM4 fiber optic jumpers, it can transmit up to 100 meters; when used with OM5 fiber optic jumpers, it can transmit up to 150 meters. This module is suitable for small cloud computing and enterprise data centers, enabling an upgrade from 25G Ethernet to 100G without changing the wiring infrastructure, while maintaining the same link transmission distance as 25G SR Ethernet.
